Aloysius
lol sorry dude, I really didn't mean to, I just realized that what I wanted to say to you would fit better in this thread where it was being explicitly discussed, and I no longer have power to edit my posts beyond a very limited window. anyway, this entire thread is about the hominem, my friend, that's the very topic... "Cam42's Status Updates". It's all about Cam42 in here. phishy status was INVENTED for people who support the SSPX. end of story, Phatmass specifically considers it against its mission to allow its website to promote the support of the SSPX cause. Phatmass's position is that the SSPX cause does not rep the Church. sorry for your luck. don't ask how the SSPX position is contrary to the Church, it's a silly question with an obvious answer. I'm not calling them heretics, I'm not saying they deny any aspect of the Church, but their canonical position is contrary to the Church and their actions are disobedient. yes, I understand you must follow your conscience; I'm just saying that your attitudes were everything that your accusers feared them to be, apparently, which means you really shouldn't be a phatmass Church Scholar.
turn around and walk around the world so that you show up on the other side of the wall, that'd prolly be the best solution. or admit that there is no wall, and that we simply disagree about there being justification for disobedience to canonical suspensions, and you can lament the fact that I do support a website deciding not to allow itself to be a place where positions that it feels do not represent the Church are warned against, especially .where sometimes impressionable youth come to be formed in the faith.
Actually, I created this thread so that I could give status updates because someone turned them off. People jumped in, because they can...whatever...I didn't create this thread to be a place to slam Cam. As for the phishy status thing...that's all good, but I didn't get the phishy status because I support the SSPX. I was in good standing here for several days after posting my reasoning....again, for like the 10th time...I got the phishy title because dUSt has a beef. Nothing more, nothing less. The things that led up to the phishy title had nothing to do with my assisting at the SSPX chapel. As I said, if it were simply because of that, I was ok with it, but I know that it isn't. So, I won't let it pass that it is an SSPX thing... The SSPX doesn't have a canonical position which is contrary to the Church. According to the Church, they have no canonical status at all. And THAT is the only reason for the priests being suspended. To say anything else is inaccurate. How is the SSPX any more disobedient than the pastor at my parents parish? I've been stating what he has been doing for days....so who is more illicit? And if both are illicit, then why should anyone assist at my parents parish? Finally, I'm ok with not being a Church Scholar any longer, but let it be for legitimate reasons, not because someone has a beef. That's just stupid. And if an apology is all that it takes to be able to troll, then heck, I'm sorry to whomever I have trolled....do I get all my statuses back now? I'm just sayin'.
