Don't worry, I think we can do that for you. :hardhead:

Bats really are amesome creatures. We have some that fly around here at night and I've seen them when my mom and I take walks late in the evening right before it gets dark. You can tell by the way they fly because they swoop down since they are grabbing flying insects. The mosquito population has been in check because of the bats. I think they are misunderstood creatures, really. I was watching a show on Animal Planet (I'm an AP junkie, LOL) about Miami Animal Cops who responded to a call from a neighborhood that was reporting vampire bats trying to bite people. The cops got there and watched the bats and they were not trying to bite anyone at all. They were swooping to catch insects, but because they got too close to people, they assumed that they were trying to attack them. It turns out they were not vampire bats, either. They were from South America and were yellow bats that some one had released into the wild and had made their nest in a palm tree. The only bats I have a problem with are common vampire bats since they are bloodsuckers and can carry rabies (as can all mammals). There have been a few reported cases of humans being bit, but contrary to legend, the humans do not turn into vampires.

the Health Department gave a green light to the Humane Society for rehabilitation. Bruce is still alive but suffering from fatigue and malnourishment. If he gets better they will release him. I just learned that bats go dormant for winter. The Bell guy probably roused him. Then he got stuck in the chapel without any insects to eat. Plus the holy water is empty the past week or two, so he probably had little if any water.

So hopefully Bruce makes it to freedom.

Now I should probably stop talking about my bat because its getting near time to celebrate the Love-Feast.
