Again and again I am struck by how joyful this community of Passionist nuns seems. Are any PMers discerning with them?

Based on what I read on their blog, I'm sure they have volumes upon volumes of stories they can tell. I did consider the Passionists when I started looking at communities. Such beautiful souls, and so real and full of compassion. I would suggest anyone discerning the contemplative life include the Passionists!

I wish I was called to that life, but I am not. Monastic life is so amazingly beautiful.

Ha! Love it!!! They should do a graphic informative novel about like, Lent or Holy Week or something, and the FSPs could publish it for them!
LOL

That's really cute. Sometimes I wish I was called to a cloistered life, But I know for a fact that I wouldn't last one day as a cloister! :saint:

Neither would I. I'd be in my pretty white habit, in a pretty white room, with a pretty white straight jacket. lol

You know, God supplies the grace needed to fulfill your vocation! ;) For nothing is impossible with God!

I am discerning amongst two actives (DSMME and FSP) and a contemplative (Terr Haute Carmel). I feel like this :wall: . Right now I am reading the packet from the FSP I got today!!! And phone call with Sr. Margaret Michael (who I really wanna call Sr. M&M) after Mass!!! I discerned that I'm not called to their order, but I'm still in touch with the vocation director Sr. John Mary. So cute! They have they funniest things on their blog. I like "How Do You Solve a Problem Like the Papacy"
He says he's old and has a cold,
the Alps are much too high.

To leave his home in Avignon
would surely make him sigh.

His French curia tells him
that Rome is a pigsty.
Besides, he doesn't speak any Italian.

How do you solve a problem like the papacy?
How do you pin a flighty pontiff down?
How do you find a way to say "Get back here!"?
You're bishop of Rome!
You're needed at home!
Right now!
Oh, how do you solve a problem like the papacy?
How do you pin a flighty pontiff down?

When I'm with him I'm disturbed,
out of patience and perturbed,
and I want to throw the cardinals out the door.

Unpredictable as weather,
he says one thing, then another.
He's discerning.
He lacks backbone!
He needs prayer.

He'd outpester any pest,
drive a hornet from its nest.
He could drive the saints and blessed to lose hope!

He is gentle, he is mild.
He's our papa, we're his child.
He's a headache!
He's a hero!
He's the pope!
