Lisa
It made me think of how in a religious community, with God, and in our everyday relationships, LOVE is what holds us and the world together. Let's take that love to the world, whether our vocation is within married life and a family, or spiritual mothers and fathers!
OnlySunshine
I really love Matt Maher's music. Have you ever listened to "Alive Again"? That song, to me, describes my reversion to the Church and discernment so perfectly, especially the lines: You called and you shouted, Broke through my deafness, Now I'm breathing in and breathing out, I'm alive again! You shattered my darkness, Washed away my blindness, Now I'm breathing in and breathing out, I'm alive again! Here it is on YouTube: It really is a beautiful song. If I ever need the motivation to keep running after Christ, I remember my favorite quotes from the Bible that have really helped me in my discernment: "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and I will listen to you. You will find me when you seek me with all your heart."--Jeremiah 29:11-12 "Do not be conformed to the will of this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may prove what is the the will of God--what is good, pleasing and perfect."--Romans 12:2 Edited April 12, 2011 by MaterMisericordiae

Lisa
Lisa, I am officially Jealous! and I am not sure it is all holy jealousy. I love Matt Maher
And it probably wouldn't be a good thing if I told you the concert was free, would it? It's ok! Let's put on our own Matt Maher concert in this thread!!!! In my opinion, this is one of his meaningful songs. So many Christian musicians only write praise and avoid the topic of the cross and suffering. But Jesus's timeless sacrifice means he understands all our suffering, and is there suffering for us. Amppax
Matt Maher had a concert here in Cincy, and I went with a couple of friends. We ended up not having enough tickets, and so some of us were hanging out in the Walmart next to the place the concert was. We ended up meeting Matt Maher and talking to him in the walmart, it was amesome
