You Wanna Know What's Really Not Cool?

Yeah, I made a police report, but they didn't even bother coming out to where I was to check out my lock or anything. They didn't ask if I had any eyewitnesses until Friday morning when It happened on Wednesday afternoon. I'm normally a pretty big fan of police, or at least I have more faith in them than a lot of people do, and I'm sure that if I had been in harms way or if it was an item that was more likely to be recovered, they would have paid me more attention, but I was NOT impressed by the Indianapolis Police Department this time.

Also, I found out that the Mall that I had been at, which has an Apple Store, Tiffany's, and a bunch of other really expensive stores that I can't remember right now, doesn't have security cameras outside.

Oh No! Sorry to hear about the loss of your computer, and even more sorry for the delayed response.

For some reason Apple Laptop theft has been on the rise lately. On the campus I work at, there has been a lot of snatch and runs. I mean laptops are stolen while the owner is working on it.... it's just snatched. They don't bother with the charger cause they know they can order one. I say Apple do what some of the cell phone retailers do in France, they don't just sell you a phone charger unless they know it is yours.

That really smells of elderberries. Did you have a lot of work and stuff on there? People are beyond inconsiderate sometimes. I mean I understand the monetary value but sometimes people have info on their that's more personal and valuable to them that what the dollar amt is. I hope you didn't lose too much.

That stinks :( Can I ask, do you have renter's insurance or maybe homeowner's insurance? Sometimes personal items can be covered under a "property" insurance policy, even when the item is stolen from a vehicle. I filed these types of claims all the time when I worked in insurance.

We have homeowners insurance, but our police will only pay 10% of a new computer because it was not at home.
