As some of you know I have been away from The Church for a long time. This Saturday I have an appointment to go to Confession.
I've learned so much these past months. One, is that even though I had rid myself of everything to do with my faith--bible, rosary, etc--God stayed. Love never leaves. Also, as someone devoted to Saint Joseph, (my Secular Carmelite name was Joseph of Nazareth) I learned that he never lets his child get very far!

As someone no longer married, I have found saints who walked a similar path. Saint Helena is one because it is said she too, was divorced. As a person who has made wrong turns in my life, other saints such as Antony of the Desert and Mary Magdalen, all help me by their examples.

Divorce is never easy no matter who wants it or how much is agreed upon between the parties. But I am beginning to recognize God's Grace. As someone who was a Secular Carmelite and loved that "hermit-aspect" of the vocation, I'm letting God lead me now. I live in a very small town and work in a small shop. I live in a small home on a quiet rural area which is a perfect place to pray, reach out to the world through my prayers, and try to live simply and joyfully.

So God is weaving the threads of my life together as He Wills and I find myself content with that. I used to kick at the Church's knees because I was so angry with all the legality of the marriage-annullment process. I've let go and started looking at God. What I've been taught this Lenten Season is that the human love I always recklessly yearned for here on earth will pale in comparison to The Love I will find in heaven. This gives me comfort and hope and helps me to find joy in living this life He is giving me.

So please pray for me as I go to confession saturday and pray that I do His Will in how I live out my vocation in this life..

Nihil Obstat

Well here's the old one, but as you can see there are some glaring security errors. The new one is much better.

As you can see, it's based on the old Latin text clam salutem turbare hostium ecclesie et securum, but the new one is a far more faithful adaptation that is more traditional and, as will be apparent to you, far more effective in warding off evil.
