Graciela
The 4 elderly OCD nuns left the Carmelite Monastery in Mobile Al last year, but now a new group of young OCD nuns from Vietnam has come and moved in to the monastery. Here is a news story about their recent arrival: http://www.ewtnnews.com/catholic-news/US.php?id=2693 Before the nuns from Vietnam arrived, there was an open house for the public to see the monastery. The local news covered it with video: http://www.localtvusa.com/south-local-news/mobile-pensacola-wala-tv-fox/2011/02/carmelite-nuns-move-into-monastery/ Enjoy! MargaretTeresa
There was a link on the CAF boards about this. Mobile is so blessed with so many prayers from these ladies, as well as the cloistered Visitation sisters. And they also have the Daughters of Charity doing wonderful work in that city also. It's a beautiful town, with such a vibrant Catholic culture!
