What Should I Feed My Committee?

Guys...
What food should I bring to feed my thesis committee on friday 1-4pm?
It is not known if people will have eaten lunch or not, it is 4 people and me

SO far I am gonna bring::
diet coke, ice tea, water, oatmeal choco-chip cookies

what else? I think doughnuts is too blah and fruit is too ...well not that delicious. It would be nice if they were happy, but not sugar-high

should I bring coffee?

I'm going to make the cookies, but I'd rather not have to cook anything else myself unless its super fast/easy!

Thanks for your help!

My husband never took any to his. I plan to take brownies to mine. It will be mostly priests at mine, and I'm not above some bribery.

What to feed your committee sounds like the least of your worries to me. But I'd suggest Panera - pizza's too sloppy and won't stay hot; soup requires dishes and spills easily; as you mentioned, sweets will give everybody a sugar rush, which won't make the defense of the dissertation - or discussion of any aspect of it - any easier.

A selection of bagels/breads - presliced
A couple of flavors of cream cheeses (including cheeses of Nazareth!)
Fruit cups

Maybe some tuna salad and/or ham salad - some lox? You wouldn't be able to get it at Panera, but it woudl give you bread, protein, and fruit

Arrange attractively on two trays (crushed ice under the perishables)

Voila! - Mangia bene!

Oh wow! Spectacular picture of the contrasts of cultures, did you notice the scorpion kabobs next to the locusts? I have heard that in certain locations they eat locusts, I assume these are for food as well as the scorpions next to them? uh, yummy? I guess.

Veggie tray and rice crispy treats? Cheap and easy to make. :)

Oh, Panera is a genius suggestion, Luigi!
