Pray For Hope In Japan - Suicidal Friend

If you can, spare a prayer for this Japanese girl I know... She was devoutly Catholic, quite sensitive in her faith even, but after the recent disaster she has denied she had ever known Mary as mother, calling herself a Protestant or comparing God to FarmVille (do things to get what you want in return), stuff like that... There's a Japanese tradition of suicide, including in popular culture and she's looking into that. She is in utter despair, I feel powerless to help with anything I say.

Through her, and by prayerfully considering the suffering of the tragedies in Japan, may we also accept the consequences such things have in our lives. May the Lord be with us all in our darkest hours.
