Prayers Needed For Family Delivering Baby Tonight

Please pray for our friends and their soon to be born baby. They are delivering about a week earlier then originally thought. They have known since the 20 week u/s that their son's heart and liver have been growing and functioning on the outside of his body. He has developed amazingly well considering but there are only 100 cases of this on record and until they deliver doctors won't know how much muscle or tissue around the chest is available to help with surgery. They are anticipating a minimum of 5 months before they are able to hold their child assuming all goes well and there are obviously a lot of hurdles to overcome.

Also please pray for the mom, Emily that surgery goes well for her also. Due to the baby's fragile condition she will undergo a very invasive c-section as the incision needs to be quite large and up the middle of her stomach from what she has described. Her recovery will be considerably more intense then the average c-section.

We just received the Carringbridge update that they were delivering tonight. It's possible baby is out already. Any prayer for their family and the medical staff caring for them would be greatly appreciated.
