OnlySunshine
I just read online that sparkling water has more health benefits than flat water and I was surprised. Who would have guessed? I bought it because I gave up sodas in November 2010 and every now and then I need a bubbly drink that is non-soda. I started drinking sparkling water from Walmart that was flavored but discovered LaCroix water at the grocery store today and thought I'd give it a try. It's sparkling water in a can. Although it doesn't have the same flavor as the sparkling water I was buying from Walmart, it is still drinkable. I read several articles that said it can help lower blood pressure, lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, and keep calcium in the bones. Sounds pretty good for a bubbly drink, IMHO. The important thing to remember is to buy sparkling water with no sodium or artificial sweeteners. LaCroix fits the bill. OnlySunshine
Also, Perrier Sparkling water is a good choice. Perrier has flavors like lemon and grapefruit now. They are pretty good.
My uncle LOVES that stuff. He always has San Pellegrino at his house or work and when he goes out to eat, he orders it with his food. I, frankly, think Perrier is better. Especially when you're drinking the fruit flavored water.
franciscanheart
I've never been able to drinking sparkling water. It just tastes like... well, something terrible, to me.
AudreyGrace
any type of bottled, engineered, industrialized water is a complete waste of natural resources, and far less healthy than tap water. i recommend getting a water philter for your faucet, if the idea of tap water really freaks you out : P. one reason it's safer to drink tap: Edited March 24, 2011 by AudreyGrace
OnlySunshine
I've never been able to drinking sparkling water. It just tastes like... well, something terrible, to me.
It's an acquired taste, for sure. I never was crazy about it to begin with, but I've gotten used to it. I really don't like tap water at all, especially since ours is municipal water and is really disgusting. I swear I saw floating things in it once (ok, now I sound like Bo from Signs ). We buy bottled water, but my mom is considering buying a filtered water pitcher. She just hasn't decided whether to get Brita or Pur.
Archaeology cat
I hate carbonation, and I hate paying for water, so I'll stick with tap water.
