What I saw he made a fool out of the interviewer. And that is the footage that 60 Minutes aired. I bet there was much more left on the cutting room floor. Oh and what a pathetic set of questions, like all of America hasn't heard those before.

How strange that the first 5 minutes of the interview was about him being overweight....

Thanks be to God for Archbishop Dolan's faithfulness and leadership.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

This is a link to an interview with Safer about his interview with the good Archbishop. There are several clips where Archbishop Dolan discusses and defends the Church's understanding of Gay "marriage," priestly celibacy, women's ordination, and the timeless tradition of the Church. The problem is that Safer criticizes the Archbishop but such a format does not allow for the Archbishop to have an opportunity to respond to Safer's criticisms. However, I think Archbishop Dolan does a great job defending the Church's position. I don't like though how 60 minutes reporters refer to Evangelization by the terms "salesmanship"/"selling the Church" though I think they do understand the gravity of the situation. Dolan is does a magnificent job of defending the Church and showing how it is not about selling the Church to people but remaining faithful to the Church's Mission: preaching Christ and continuing His mission of the forgiveness of and fighting sin. He calls it like it is.
