Ever since I first saw the video of the DSMMEs with this song, I've been obsessed with it. This is EXACTLY how I define Religious Life and it inspired me to start Discerning with the DSMMEs. Such power and beauty to the song. I will be Your Love O Lord

This has become my discernment theme song, especially now when I am at that crucial stage of preparing for application. :)

At first I thought she was singing 'To the king eternally mortal'

Hey! No need to get violent! :hehe2:

I posted it without really paying attention because I was taking a break from studying at the time.

Disclaimer: excuse the cheesiness factor!! More of a love song, but some of the lyrics beautifully apply to conversion and a call to be the bride of Christ! I liked this part:

I surrender who I've been for who you are
For nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart
If I had only felt how it feels to be yours
I would have known what I've been living for all along
What I've been living for

I completely forgot this one!!! I have a story behind this one. When I was quite a bit younger (still in my avoiding religious life stage) this was on my mp3 player, but I would avoid it because I always regarded it as a "sad song", and I didn't exactly remember why, but I always ignored it. Well, when I felt my calling again and had a major eye-opening, I started to listen to more of their music again and I played this song and I just cried. It was a breaking point for me and I was only 11. I realized that this really was my theme song, the story of my life! I said yes to God. I am His, all His, and I try harder each day to be His.

Oh, and I don't know what the weird noise is at the end of this video, just ignore it...

I've only just discovered this song by Chris Tomlin. It's beautiful - a song of consecration.

This is the first time I listened to this Josh Groban song and it really seems Vocational to me. It feels like how I feel. Religious Life will feel like home to me.

One more. I'm Letting Go by Francesca Battistelli. She really sings about my life. She's good like that. I don't know if I ever said this on here before but before I realized that God wants me in Religious Life, I wanted to be on Broadway. I wanted to live in New York and be famous. But then I started to think realistically and I know now that I am not cut out for it. But I still enjoy it. God revealed His plan for me. It took some time to really accept and embrace it. So now I'm letting go of the life I planned like the song says and I'm okay with it.

I love these two songs
This one because I can see God in His creation so often and this song expresses that so perfectly.

And another one from the same artist.
