So I gave in to temptation and bought Plants vs Zombies tonight and tried to install it. As soon as I hit "install" on the first screen my entire computer froze. I couldn't even hit ctrl+alt+del. What the flibbity. I have a Windows 7 64 bit computer, Intel i5 chip. Any ideas?

Bro Adam, did you get it working? I know that many programs are not compatible with win 7 64 bit, you could try the game under the xp compatibility and see how that works. I have the 64 bit version puter too, oddly enough my old windows program Microsoft home publishing 2000 works like a charm, but I have had to run several things in compatibility mode that are far newer. I bought a game at wal-mart that said it was for 7 and had to run it in xp compatibility mode as it was not for 64 bit 7.

Yeah and that's rather unfortunate. I also have Windows 7 64 bit. Thankfully, I don't use many games and other such programs so I don't really have to worry about it much. But yeah, I'd do as Papist suggested and right click on the setup file and then click Run as Administrator.

I did eventually find the answer online - you have to run it in xp compatability mode to install it. :)

Haha. I found my old photobucket from many years ago. Nostalgic... I vaguely remember shopping that pic with the one ring.
