Emergency - Prayers Needed

I was in the bathroom at home depot when my watch alarm reminded me. I suspect God gets lots of prayers from bathrooms.

I agree, Catherine. And of course... BATHrooms are probably connected with our baptisms....


My friend and I were praying Morning Prayer when my alarm went off -- and it was literally at these words from the Benedictus in the Gospel of Luke (interestingly enough speaking of John the BAPTIST):

"You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,
to give his people knowledge of salvation
by the forgiveness of their sins.

In the tender compassion of our God
the dawn from on high shall break upon us
to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace."

My friend and I were very awed by the timing.... especially as we had NOT been able praying to begin when we intended.... God has His own timing for things....

I pray that the God of all consolation will be with you and your family; it is sad for us, but it is a very BEAUTIFUL thing to go home to God, Li'l Red. I bet He had a warm welcome for her....

I'd appreciate if you can stop at 10:50 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time-DST) tomorrow (March 14), and pray for the repose of my mom's soul, I'd appreciate it. 5 years has gone by so slowly and so fast.

I think about your Mom every year at this time because it was right after her death that I had something similar. I still wonder why I survived and she didn't.
