OnlySunshine
I have to say, I really love the symbolism of the new novices in bridal gowns before being clothed in the religious habit. I wonder, though, if they bring a wedding gown with them when they enter, or if they are donated to the order and are reused?

Beautiful...
Very true. My sisters used to have the sisters come in in bridal gowns for final profession (in their old community) but I don't know if they will keep this tradition with the new community. Next year, two sisters will make final professions; we'll see if they kept it or not.
emilier98
They look so young to be professing final(?) vows. Beautiful, but oh so young.

How my heart fills with joy when I think about it.

I don't know how long their novitiate is.) and them being VERY happy. Some nuns just look really young, sometimes the habit does that. The novice directress in my community does not look her age at all. In fact, you can take about 15-20 years off of her age and she will pass without a second look from anyone.
