CatherineM
I probably caught it at west edmonton mall. Lots of people on a Saturday. They had a fencing competition. I'm not sure why parents think 8 year old kids should play with swords that are longer than they are tall. Gave a speech to 240 pharmacists at the fantasyland hotel. I'm blaming them. Seriously. They are around sick people all day. Now I'm going to miss my class tomorrow. No big deal. Br. Donatus is cool. He's 78 years old, so I don't need to expose him to anything. I have to recover for Wednesday. That class is kicking my rear end, and I can't miss it.

Maggyie
I read a news story in the New York Times about a scientist who died recently of plague. He was doing lab work on a supposedly de-fanged copy of the organism and it must have somehow made its way out of the petri dish and into his body. What a way to go. CatherineM
I've had immunity issues ever since I got sick with listeria. The husband could go outside in -20 degree weather in just a t-shirt and roll around in a dumpster, and not even get a runny nose.

Luigi
Oooohh! Bubonic plague! That's SO medieval of you! Lots of great saints died of bubonic plague - or ministered to plague victims and didn't die. Either way, bubonic plague has played an important role in Catholic history. As to your request that somebody just kill you now, I'd be happy to oblige, but if it really is bubonic plague, you'll be gone before I can get there. Drat the luck! OnlySunshine
Perhaps you should say a novena to St. Catherine of Siena. After all, she was born during the time when the "black death" was sweeping through Italy AND she cared for the sick. I love that she is referred to as the patron saint of nurses. sixpence
if u would like to up your chances of contracting plague, all you have to do is go to the southwest, find a prairie dog colony, kill all the prairie dogs, and wait for the fleas to come off them and bite you.. that should probably work
