IgnatiusofLoyola
fwiw.. Vee is still usually wrong about everything. truth resides in this thread... Vee has taught me everything I know about scripture. I don't know why Vee hasn't been made a Doctor of the Church. This lesson from the other thread is just one example. Question from DS: Why does Holy Scripture say that the Prophet Elijah went up to Heaven in a chariot, when the gates of Heaven weren't even open yet???? Vee's answer: Since Jesus had yet to open heaven to everyone by dying on the cross Elijah and all the rest went to a waiting room. There they waited while reading old copies of National Geographic and Readers Digest. Me: Who knew? Someone obviously left this out of the King James Bible. (Maybe I was too busy reading old copies of Highlights for Children at the doctor's office, and missed this explanation.)
MIKolbe
i hate to disappoint you, but Vee is wrong. National Geographic had yet to come into being in Elijah's day. Reader's Digest, however, has been around forever.
