I shopped there all the time. So, in situations like this - that Target is going to be giving to a lot of money to gay-equality groups in 2011 - should I still shop at Target? (btw, I don't shop at Wal-mart. Period. I don't like the store or its policies.)
MissyP89
I asked this about another business a while ago. Father told me that it's basically up to you, but there isn't anything sinful involved if you do choose to shop there. The truly culpable people are the ones at the company who made the original decision. Two cents.

Ice_nine
I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I sort of have an odd respect for Gaga. Don't hate.

dUSt
This is why I do all my shopping online. That way, people never get my money, it just all goes to the computer.
CatherineM
I remember trying to explain to a woman why she should care that the price of wheat doubled. She wasn't concerned because all her bread came from the Piggly wiggly not from the farmer's market.

Socrates
We should be far more concerned with Target's offensive name and logo, which no doubt helped spur that nut-job in Tucson to shoot people a few months back. If they had any social responsibility, they'd change their name to "Surveyor Mark."

Brother Adam
You have to pick your battles. It would not be a sin to shop at Target. I only know of one corner store in Lansing that sells food and not condoms. About the only time I start boycotting is if the store makes it a major corporate policy to support abortion or if they sell pornography. And I don't 'call' for boycotts, I just choose not to give them my money.

[/quote] Is that how you justify it? It's an unsound method. But we'll use it for now. How do the minority of Phatmassers and non-Phatmass Catholics justify it? I'd much prefer a universal, however. ~Sternhauser Edited February 27, 2011 by Sternhauser
