Debra Little
Why is formation of new Catholics so poor? I was taught nothing about the Catechism or the Church when I was in formation. They thought it was good enough to go over the Sunday readings with us and discuss them. This is terrible!
CatherineM
Some churches, priests, DRE's are better than others when it comes to adult education. I think it is a scandal that we don't provide better adult catechisis. I have recommended in the past that neophytes continue in RCIA as long as possible. You can even go to another parish where the education program is better. I've even had cradle Catholics who have been out of the church for many years sign up for our RCIA classes. Be patient with us, but don't give up on getting the education that you deserve. The Knights of Columbus have an education program that you could try also.
