If you ever make it down to fort wayne, feel free to stop by. We could house you for a night if you're ever in the area. :)

Let us know when the move is, though. I've got a 1 month old, school, work, and a home that I just moved into a month and a half ago, so I probably can't help out, but we'll see.

Peace,
Joe

Well, its pretty much a sure thing we won't close on Monday. Back to anxious waiting. Our realtor says she "sees the light at the end of the tunnel" though. The selling realtor took the for sale sign down from the property (boo - I wanted a picture of the sold sign up on it after we closed.)

Just wanted to say that I've been keeping you and your family in my prayers with all of this. :nunpray: God-willing you will close soon!

Thank you. There is something to hindsight being 20/20. We would have gone about our loan in a totally different way had we known then what we know now (different lender, different loan program, different way to structure our debts), that would have freed us from this headache.

As proof to the insanity that is buying a house:

The sale is now contingent on "final short sale approval". The bank already approved the short sale and the price and signed off on all the documents, but if they wanted to, they could drag their feet on closing. May 1 is also coming fast and while we gave our land lady notice 2 months ago that we were working on buying a house we could have to pay an extra $500 if we can't get a closing date soon.

apparently because the other side didn't give final approval today when they already have everything is not a good sign.

The short sale negotiator has apparently refused to sell us (specifically my wife and I) the home despite previously signing off on it. I am not sure if it will go to closing at this point or what that means regarding breach of contract or an anti-discrimination law suit.
