Lil Red
http://www.patheos.com/community/deaconsbench/2011/02/17/reality-check-hannah-montanas-dad-on-hollywood-and-satan/ excerpt:
Hannah Montana probably has brought a lot of families together—just not one… “Yeah. I know. I know. I know.” And do you see the show as a big part of what has made things not work in your family? “Oh, it’s huge—it destroyed my family. I’ll tell you right now—the beaver dam show destroyed my family. And I sit there and go, ‘Yeah, you know what? Some gave all.’ It is my motto, and guess what? I have to eat that one. I some-gave-all’d it all right. I some-gave-all’d it while everybody else was going to the bank. It’s all sad.” Do you wish Hannah Montana had never happened? “I hate to say it, but yes, I do. Yeah. I’d take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic. Heck, yeah. I’d erase it all in a second if I could.”

Cherie
That is incredibly sad. Hindsight is 20/20, yes, but how unfortunate a family was torn apart before they realized the effect of that show on them.
CatherineM
It doesn't take hindsight. I can't think of anyone who was a child star of some sort who had a normal home life. Maybe the Osmonds.
Winchester
It's a publicity move.
Lol, I was being intentionally facetious my friend. I actually took my nieces to a Hanna Montana concert in Orlando Fl a few years back and kept asking them why she looked a lot like Smiley Myrus, they kept correcting me and rolling their eyes saying, Uncle Ed its Smiley, err, Miley Smirus I mean Miley Cyrus. Its fun torturing the kids. ed

Sounds like he's still "Waiting for Superman" if you catch my drift.

Sarah147
How sad. But we can all pray that they come to the Faith.
4588686
That's good of him to put that on his kid's shoulders. "Hey sweetie, sorry you tore your family apart with your stupid show". The show didn't tear his family apart. He and his wife made the choice. It's their responsibility not the show.
elizabeth09
I heard that the dad push his daughter into it and all and now he is sorry for it too.
