Sarah147
Hmmm. Will have to read this. I hope to not end up down that route in the future.
BarbTherese
The single dedicated life under private vows with spiritual direction is my vocation and call and now for some 35 odd years I think, with a break in my forties to enter monastic life, leaving by my own choice without being asked to do so. I have no regrets and am happy and fulfilled - like all states of life and vocations, the cross is integral. We are never asked to bear more than The Grace we have to bear whatever God may permit in our lives and bear it well - even happily and joyfully on the spiritual level. To be a vocation to the single life, it is not a route that we find ourselves heading down, rather it is a clear call and vocation most wisely affirmed by sound advice and spiritual direction and then embraced lovingly. God bless - Barb
