this thread made me realized that I need to have a day-to-day goal. I feel the need to accomplish something good for God and His people this day. It doesn't matter if it's big or small, as long as the Good Lord is pleased with it.

This is it: my goal for each day is to please the Lord... and this shall make my day/life fulfillling!

Knowing that I went through the day whilst radiating the Joy of the lord, and that I obeyed His commandments and conquered over evil as best as I could during that day. I am a sinner, and if I can get through the day with one less sin to add to the list, then it was a good day.

When I look back through the year , months, and the weeks, I am joyed by how far my spirituality has grown and how much God works in my life. I look back apon the struggles I faced and feel strong, because I was able to over come them.

I am also happy if I get a chance to spend time with any of my friends and talk about God and the Faith in public (especially if it is in front of "non believers"), then I feel that I can have the strenght to be more open about my beliefs. And that I am found worthy enough for the Holy Spirit to work through my words, and evangelize, even if I dont relize im doing it.

First, the cross gives me great joy. It was there Jesus said that I was worth laying his life down then, today, and forever.
Second, Robin - when we are in each others arms (in an appropriate way), and we tell each other how lucky we were to find each other in this great big world, the healing that happens in my heart and soul is second only to the healing of the Cross.
Third, art - taking something I only see in my mind and creating it in reality is simply amazing - I kinda feel what God felt like while he was creating the universe every time I model something and animate it!

1. Spending time with close friends
2. Attending Mass and getting something out of it
3. Doing well at university/finishing essays/pretty much fulfilling the duties specific to my state of life.

Ash Wednesday

Art.

I mean, yes, of course there are some wonderful spiritual experiences I have in church and I love my husband, my friends and family. But... as far as the normal, day to day as far as how I'm wired.... art. I love being an artist and I thank God for this gift he has given me. I wonder if in heaven there is a big studio and I'll get to create works of art all the time. Among the times when I am probably the most content and feeling the most at home, that all is right with things and I'm where I am supposed to be -- is when I'm in the midst of creating a work of art.

Creating art is a very spiritual thing -- and can be a prayer. I believe JP2 once said artists in a special way relate to God the Creator.

My children. They are truly a gift from God. I know why God created man and why he desires us to multiply. My children have done nothing to earn my love, yet I love them more than life itself. And this love is minuscule compared to God's love for man. It gives me just a glimpse of why God loves us do much, as we are his children.

You have an art studio, and I'll have a computer with the latest versions of XSI Softimage, Zbrush, Photoshop and the Unreal Design Kit!

JP2 was right, every time I work on a character, or build a level in Unreal, or do anything like that, I kinda feel almost like God while he was creating the universe!

A big Marian feast day always does it for me -- or a really good hour of adoration. Early spring weather with a crisp breeze and just a little cloud cover. A fire in the fireplace in the morning during breakfast. The hook of a good poem. A moment of sudden illumination, when everything is clear and God feels close. A good cup of coffee.
