I am trying to be charitable, but private revelations are not infallible.

People put more faith in the private revelations of Saints, that the Magisterium that declared them Saints.

I am a Prayer Warrior for the Holy Souls and pray every day for people in purgatory, and those in danger of going to hell.

But I never forget God is a God of Mercy.
Amen to that Cmom, He is a God of Mercy.
I am a Prayer Warrior for the Holy Souls and pray every day for people in purgatory, and those in danger of going to hell.
May God Bless you for this Cmom!!!!

But we cannot forget about Hell and people do go there.

I love St. Faustina Book on God's Divine Mercy! Now is the time for Mercy!

Even in the Gospels though if you would do a count Jesus talkes about Hell more than Heaven.

This saddens me, don't get me wrong, I pray for the salvation of souls as well, but we can't blot out Hell, number one because it is there and it is a reality, people need to know about it and that one can go there if God Judges so and His Judgment is just.

Jesus talks about Hell many times in the Gospels, We should do the same for a healthy reminder!

God Bless You
Jason

God Conquers

ya, how could we put a number on salvation?

We have NO IDEA.

We know that people are going to hell, yes.

We should try to stop this by evangelizing.

We must HOPE and PRAY that no one goes to hell (this is possible, although not likely), and know that God is merciful.

This thread is depressing.

Snowflakes: I don't know where you're from, or if it snows much, but it can snow ALOT or it can snow A LITTLE.

Leaves: leaves don't fall so quick. It takes a few months. Or, there could be a tornado, or wind storm I guess....

Regardless! We KNOW that people are going to hell, but we need to get off our butts and DO something about it, it doesn't help to speculate on how many are lost, it DOES do good to speculate on how many WE personally are SAVING for and through Christ.

Take ownership. Have the same zeal for those souls that Christ did. Win them for Him. And don't speculate or count Him or them out.

So don't speak of a Hell?

Agree!!

We will work around that one (Hell)?

Your post doesn't make much sense?

Which is better, to lead people to love God so they don't sin, or try terrifying them so they don't sin?

Which do you think works better?

Brother Adam

We don't put numbers on it nor should we dwell on it. Talking about it is fine. Going Johnathan Edwards is not fine.

No, that's not what he was saying. GC was saying that it does no good to speculate about how many people go to hell. What matters is that we try and prevent people from going there!

Thats not my point I just quoted facts that all. I leave that up to God to Judge.

That is what I'm trying to say!

Hell is a reality like it or not. I guess we will just forget about it.

Nobody said to forget about it...

Which works better, having people wanting to be in heaven, or having people being afraid of hell?

Which is a better motivator: love or fear?

Did Jesus ever speak of Hell?

He told many parables of it as well!

Cmom I preach right along side of you for the Divine Mercy of the One True God, but you cannot put Hell in the back round as something just there.

I don't know maybe I'm coming across wrong? But there is a Hell!

God Bless Pham

whoa! It isn't that we shouldn't speak about it.

WHat Cmom said is accurate, we need to be preching SALVATION not DAMNATION.

We are saying the same thing in different ways: you are emphasizing fear, I am emphasizing love.

I want to preach salvation and not damnation.

I would never put myself in the judgment seat!

I'm a sinner in need of God's Divine Mercy, I'm not saying scare people, but people need to be told about hell, look at the parable of the rich man and Lazarus

Luke 16 : 19-31

"There was a rich man 13 who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day.

And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,

who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man's table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores.

When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried,

and from the netherworld, where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.

And he cried out, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.'

Abraham replied, 'My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented.

Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.'

He said, 'Then I beg you, father, send him to my father's house,

for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they too come to this place of torment.'

But Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.'

He said, 'Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

Then Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'"

Does this help you guys see where I'm coming from. I want nothing more than the salvation of precious souls, but the need to be told the whole Truth!

God Bless
Jason

Agreed, people need to know about hell, but we need to do things out of love for God and not fear of hell.
