Oh no! How did we leave the Indians out of the spat of ethnic celebration threads?

Most of the Indians I know are from Kerala, because they are Catholic :)

But speaking of cool saints....they get St. Thomas the Apostle!

And Indian Christians have cool vestments for their priests.

of course, Mother Theresa was from Albania, however....
from India she became the foundress of a religious order.
Good place to mention Sr. Nirmala -- I think that's her name -- who succeeded Mother Theresa in government and leadership within the order, when the foundress had to let go of those duties.
Sr. Nirmala is a native of India. She has witnessed to her own conversion.
Last I heard anything of Sr. Nirmala, there was a younger successor, I think a Western European sister.
And Sr. Nirmala retired to the contemplative branch of the Missionaries of Charity and out of the public eye. Anyone know anything further?

India Indians, right? They have great food. One of my dear friends is Indian. He is brilliant, observant, and makes a great host.
