Carolyn
Let's pray for them now. There is a lot of work yet to be done.
Nihil Obstat
Yea, but guess who they replaced him with? The VP Omar Suleiman who has organized basically a military junta. Overthrow him too. This is just more of the same croutons status quo. I used an analogy earlier today; it's like hiring a lawyer to sue his own brother.
CatherineM
What really concerned me during the coverage, was that someone in the Obama administration was quoted as saying that the Muslim Brotherhood is purely a secular organization, and that they are completely peaceful. If I wore dentures, they would have fallen out my jaw dropped so far.

Another thing I heard was a reporter saying that is was a good example of democracy in action with hardly any violence, he then added that "only just over 300 deaths" now that was in 18 days, at 300 even thats roughly 16 and a half deaths a day! Where was the media with the death count, like during Iraq the war under the last administration where every day they reported on the newest death toll? The U.S troop death toll in the Iraq war for the six years starting in may 2003 until may 2009 five months after the new administration took over has been 4287, 6 years times 365 days for each year equals 2190 days, that figures out to just over 1.9 deaths a day, where is the outrage at 16.5 deaths a day occuring in Egypt? At least the reporter got the Democracy thing right, democracy is by definition mob rule. ed

BG45
Sadly it's not all good news. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy. In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering. There will be no further comment from CBS News and correspondent Logan and her family respectfully request privacy at this time.

Sternhauser
Anyone who sends an arguably attractive blonde lady to cover riots and a potential war zone is unconscionably irresponsible, for lack of a better and more incisive word. They didn't even learn from the L.A. Riots or Hurricane Katrina. Or perhaps they did learn. Maybe the potential for violence against women boosts the Nielsen ratings. ~Sternhauser Edited February 15, 2011 by Sternhauser
I didn't say anything about anyone being raped during or after Hurricane Katrina, or during the L.A. Riots. I said they didn't learn. One can learn to respect fire without burning down one's house.
Don't worry though if you speak ill of Islam you're the bad guy. The people over there are animals.
If you go over to lands where followers of Mahomet are prevalent, without carrying a firearm and kicking down doors of people suspected defending their homeland from invaders, you'll find that there are actually some human beings created in the image and likeness of God. They may treat women poorly in some Koran-following countries, but would you like a reality check? Walk into any major city under the United State, and you'll see buildings where pre-born human beings are slaughtered openly, for the sake of convenience, on a daily basis. You don't find that in Koran-following countries. They occasionally stone an adulteress to death. Americans, on the other hand, embrace the culture of adultery, then go on to slaughter completely innocent human beings on a daily basis. Who are the animals? ~Sternhauser Edited February 16, 2011 by Sternhauser
