Era Might
So I was flipping the channels and I happen upon a slick man in a casino talking to an albino-faced monotone named "Data," a guy in a beard, and a black guy with a deep voice. I've happened upon this program before, but always changed the channel immediately. But this time was different. The story was interesting. The three guys were stuck in a casino hotel, and they couldn't get out. Then they found this guy who's been dead for 200 years in one of the hotel rooms. Then they found a lame novel that aliens had apparently read, and the monotone Data ascertained that the aliens had built the casino in imitation of the novel, thinking that the novel described how humans lived. Long story short, the monotone, the beard, and Barry White outwitted the proprietor of the casino hotel, and the three of them escaped. So what does this mean? Will I be instinctively drawn to watch this program again? Am I become borg? I'm at a very strange place in my life after seeing my first episode of Star Trek. I liked it, and that scares me. TThis is from the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" series, not the original series with Kirk and Spock. [quote name='Era Might' timestamp='1297436720' post='2211336'] So what does this mean? Brother Adam
Welcome to the light, young newly baptized Trekkie. Do watch more, and yes, resistance is futile. True trekkies are Calvinists in that sense. Some are predestined to become Trekkies, others are in the darkness and will nevercome Trekkies. You have fallen for the irresistible love of Trek and need to nourish it in your life. Your election to the world of Klingon is unconditional, and you will persevere, eventually delving deeper into the annals of Deep Space Nine, Voyager, the Original Series, and perhaps if you are more scholarly rare volumes like the animated version. CatherineM
Just watched DS9. The one where Worf joins the cast. I'm ready for some warm blood wine.
Deb
I have only seen a couple of the Next Generation episodes. I would like to see them in order. I loved and still love the original Star Trek, and yes, I watched it when it was a tv series. Oh my. I loved Captain Kirk.
