IgnatiusofLoyola
Our Lady of Perpetual Help, or sometimes called Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
Several people have mentioned Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and I had forgotten about this title. I need to remember it, because especially right now I feel so in need of help that I am not getting from the world. It is such a humbling thing to me that I have to ask for help that I still am very bad at it and I wait too long, because I don't trust or believe that anyone really cares that much, or even if they care, has the specific skills/gifts I need. But, I don't feel afraid to ask Mary.

BG45
BVM. The abbrieviation I once jokingly used for her during my conversion, has become my favorite title for her. Simple, but honoring.

LaPetiteSoeur
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is my favorite, but then again, I'm super biased! OUr Lady of Lourdes is a favorite, but also brings back bittersweet memories. My elementary school was OLOL, but we left after 6 years and I went to public school for three years (that was interesting!) well, really, I just Mary! Selah
What's the legend of Mt. Athos?
Well, it's said that the Theotokos, along with St. John the Evangelist, were sailing to Cyprus. The ship they were sailing in was blown off course and so they decided to anchor near Klemont. The Theotokos walked onto the shore and loved how beautiful everything was; the mountains, it was all so beautiful and natural. She asked her Son if she could live here for the rest of her life. He told her that it would be her special garden for her to care for for the remainder of her life. That's why she is the only woman aloud on Mt. Athos; there are monastaries their now, and it's believed that the Blessed Virgin decided to let the monks care for her special garden. Women, of course, have been on exception aloud there, but only for protection during war and other dangerous times. They call her the protecter of Mt. Athos.
