Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. I come from a parish that has her shrine, was called there, and later was blessed to live near the Rue du Bac.

"Come to the foot of the altar. Graces will be given in abundance." How true.

Fantastic thread!! I had to think about this for a long while, because so many titles came into my head. I was going to write them all, but I wanted to probe a bit deeper and find the ones that truly do mean the most.

Immaculate Conception. I prefer this to 'Our Lady of Lourdes', because these were the exact words she gave to Bernadette: "I am the Immaculate Conception." The story of Lourdes has always moved me, and I think the essence of everything that happened there can be summed up in that title: purity of heart, humility, simplicity, and the healing that comes with these things - the restoration of people as we were meant to be.

Our Lady of Peace. Mary knew 'the peace that passes all understanding' in a uniquely intimate way. She conceived Him and she carried Him in her heart during His agony. Whenever I think of her under this title, I think of a verse from Ephesians, "For He Himself is our peace..."

Mother of the Word. This makes me think of a verse from Jeremiah: "For your word has burned in my heart like a fire." And then another from the Gospels: "Mary pondered all these things and treasured them in her heart." It is a beautiful expression of one aspect of Christ's incarnation.

Holy Mary. Sweet and simple. This is what I use most often when I pray, along with 'Mother of Christ, mother of mine' (taken from an Ave Maria hymn) and 'mother of my Lord' (taken from Elizabeth's greeting to her in Luke's gospel).

Kecharitomene. :) Because Greek is razzle dazzle and so is grace.

Yup. Greek is indeed razzle dazzle, as is Arabic :D
