OnlySunshine
One my friends and her husband had their first-born son this past Sunday. He was born with pulmonary hypertension and a hole in his diaphragm that is allowing his stomach and intestines into his chest cavity which is compressing his lungs and making it difficult for him to breath. He was put on a ventilator and transferred to an intensive care children's hospital where he is awaiting surgery to repair the defect. He was baptized this week. Please say some prayers. His surgery is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) but it has been pushed back before due to the doctors needing more time to assess his condition. Because of the technological advances in medicine, his condition has an 80% survival rate with surgery, but the surgery is necessary as this is a very severe, emergent condition. Please pray that he survives the surgery and recovery and is able to come home from the NICU to be with his mother and father who love him dearly.
