Anyone Want A Complete Liturgy Of The Hours Set ...

Brother Adam has been known to sell stuff on here, so I think I'm gonna follow his lead, if y'all don't mind. Anyway, I recently bought a full set of the Liturgy of the Hours (4-volume set with vinyl covers), complete with supplement and guide for 2011. It's too bad that I didn't save the receipt, though, as I'm now having buyer's remorse. You see, I mainly attend the Extraordinary Form Mass, which use a different calendar; even so, I first thought it would be cool to follow both calendars, but now I see that it's far better to just choose one and stick to that. Anyone want to start praying the LOTH or upgrade to full version from the somewhat abridged version (Christian Prayer)? My ideal asking price would be around $120, which is roughly $40 less than I bought it for, but I'm open to negotiation. PM me if you're interested!

I also have the full set of the "In Conversation with God" series by Francis Fernandez (not to be confused with Neale Donald Walsch's false and heretical book "Conversations with God"). These books have meditations for every day of the year (usually based on one of the Mass readings). There are 7 volumes in all, covering the following parts of the Church year:

1. Advent and Christmastide
2. Lent and Eastertide
3. Ordinary Time Weeks 1-12
4. Ordinary Time Weeks 13-23
5. Ordinary Time Weeks 24-34
6. Special Feasts January--June
7. Special Feasts July--December.

These books are excellent; I'm selling them simply because I've "graduated" to other Catholic meditation books and need to simplify things a bit. These books are used but in good condition (2 of them have some of the plastic covering on the jacket peeled off, but they're just cosmetic flaws). Again, my asking price is negotiable, but the ideal one would be around $90, which is also about $40 less than what the books originally cost. Again, PM me if you're interested!

Wow ... not even a view?

Edited to add:
Oops, I take that back. It initially said there were no views, but now it says 29 views.

:) how far do I have to walk to get it?

Not to worry; I'll pay all postage expenses!

But just to be sure, do you want the LOTH, In Conversation with God, or both?

I strongly recommend the "In Conversation With God" set. I'd buy it if I didn't already own it.
I was lucky and found it at 1/2 Price Books for $70 for the complete set.

I think you should keep it. It is so amazingly beautiful, and to know you are praying it with so many throughout the world, is such a gift. Just my two cents. :amen:

Sorry, but I don't really use the post-Vatican II calendar. What I'd need is a pre-Vatican II breviary.

You could probably find that at Loome Books in Stillwater.

Interesting that you mention Loome Books; I just discovered that earlier today! What a coincidence!

This is tempting, but as I don't currently pray LOTH right now (and have never done it by myself), I'm thinking I should just start with Christian Prayer. Have any of you "jumped into" praying with the full set of books?
