My Grandfather

My grandmother just called to say that my grandfather is ill and is being admitted to the hospital. She said that he has a lot of blood clots and an unknown infection and they have to give him IV medication immediately. I am very worried. He is 76 years old and has been in and out of the hospital for the past 2 years. His quality of life is really declining and I wouldn't doubt that he may pass soon if things don't take a turn for the better. The last time my mom saw him, he looked terrible and that was this past weekend. He was really pale, in a lot of pain, and could hardly walk. Please say some prayers for him, especially for the intercession of St. Anne who is my patron saint. I would really be upset if he passed away since I'm closest to him and my grandmother.

so justly called the Mother of the infirm,
the health of those who suffer from disease,
look kindly upon the sick person for whom I pray.

Alleviate their sufferings,
cause them to sanctify them by patience,
and by complete submission to divine will.
Finally deign to obtain health for them
and with it the firm resolution to honor Jesus, Mary and yourself
by the faithful performance of their Christian duties.
