yipes...

I suggest all southern state residents be required to spend one winter of their lives, before the age of 21, in upstate NY in order to familiarize them with snow and ice and avoid future fatalities and accidents.

Forget New York, they need to spend a winter night in DULUTH, MN!

Are you stalking me?
No - I just want to change my screen name without making a new profile and losing my history. I'm actually a horrible stalker, too lazy I guess.

All things considered, Galveston got off relatively easy. This morning the cops were only allowing one car at a time to cross the causeway, but a little over an hour ago they were able to open multiple lanes. They are expecting it to ice over again tonight.

That half inch of snow we were supposed to get last night? Oh yeah. FIVE. And that ice I mentioned here earlier? It's under the snow, obviously. Guess who isn't a very happy camper today. :|

lol I remember several years ago they couldn't do dog sled races in Alaska because of the mud and it was 5 degrees in Pennsylvania.

Are there ANY happy campers?

My Texan nieces and nephews! They've had four snow days in a row!

I spent one year in Maryland.
Ice... it's still a problem.

And where I am at now, we don't have beautiful snow to make the winter any easier in any way.
It's wet and cold, full of mushy mud and half-frozen water puddles.
My poor rabbit got wet from the driving rain, which was blown up under the lean-to roof, and she had ice-sickles on her fur!!

I wanted to show you a picture, but I don't know how.

You have to first upload the image to a site like flickr. Then you can grab the direct URL provided and put it into here. Just click the little picture button on the post editor (looks like this: ) and it'll show up here.

LUCKY!! I've lived in Colorado for three and a half years and i'm still waiting for a good 5" snow storm! Except, they don't get ice here, so yeah.

Move to Texas. :| Last year we got over a foot of fresh snow overnight.

I'm only recently a moderator again but I'm pretty sure multiple screen names are against rules. Check with someone higher up. I would always suggest asking politely before just creating a new account. Also, take into account that if they changed a name every time someone requested it, our two admins would be working ten times as hard. It's only happened a few times in PM history that I know of, but again, ask politely and you never know. Also, you should probably have significant reason for wanting it to change. :like:

As an aside, my condo was flooded today when my upstairs neighbor had a pipe burst. :nun2:

Ok ... I just left Houston after being there a week. And guess what. At 34 degrees, NJ feels HOT. I feel like pulling the shorts out :)

I know the rules, that's why I asked you. Honestly, I would have chosen a different name in the beginning if I knew that my login name was going to become my permanent screen name. Everyone thinks I'm male.
