Sarah147
Hello, I'm curious if anyone has a kind of shrine with a statue, Bible, candles, kneeler, etc. or a prayer area. God bless you.
fides quarens intellectum
We do. We turned the formal dining room into a prayer room - icons, a crucifix, candles, chairs, and breviaries. We don't have kneelers, though, my Bible is up in my room, and our statues are outside. We do have a nativity set up, though, which will be put away tomorrow. Anyway, our prayer room is my favorite room in the house.
BG45
Sort of, not very formal but there's a small wooden cross, my crucifix, a picture of the Divine Mercy. Edit: And my Bible. Edited February 2, 2011 by BG45

AudreyGrace
well, some people on here know, but I live in an old convent. The nuns moved out, and we moved in. They had a legit chapel, and left everything behind. Now we have a (transferred and adjusted) prayer room- altar (with the relics removed of course), some statues, candles, kneelers, holy water by the gallon, misselettes, pictures, and a couch for comfort lol. It even smells like a Church... it's great.

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
dominus pax, I have a shrine, i don't pray there much anymore but i do enjoy looking at it and replace the vase flowers often, just to show people how seriously commited i am to the faith, just like the old catholics used to always have a crucifix adjacent to there from there entry way, that when people ented the house immediatly they saw that this person is faithfull to jesus christ, i would like to get a candle and pray at my shrine more often,i used to love praying there. God bless JC"seek and you will find" oh p.s. a shrine and holy pictures in the house plus a crucifix at the entryway can often remind whose side where on. incarnatewordsister
In addition to our chapel and the rest of the house being very religious, I also have a little prayer space in my room. I have my profession crucifix, the bible I received as a postulant, candles and a little statue. I also have a candle, breaviary and other churchy stuff. Oh, and a picture of a crucifix that one of my third grade students drew about well, many years ago.
