I always understood the term "twin cities" to refer to StP/Minn.

Now as for the "tri-state area", it has been three different states, in every city we have lived in. Right now it's MI/IN/OH.

And of course the "quad cities" are in Iowa.

In my mind, the tri state area is NY, NJ and PA

However, the five state region is WI, MN, IA, ND and SD...

HSM the TC up north are just "the cities" and that still refers to the burbs all around it. Also I know of three sets of "quad cities" one in MN around where I live, the one in Iowa and one in Ill.

HSM the computer thing at the Baptism would be funny. However, there is always someone. I mean * a bit off topic* I had a hard time choosing my Confirmation sponsor. Around that time though I met a friend of mine who had converted about 2 years prior, and he and I were talking. About 3 months later at a retreat, I sparatically asked him to be my sponsor. It turned out to be a shock to me, so I prayed that night infront of the Monsterance (sp?) and then I felt really good about asking him. Although telling my parents was another story. I guess what I'm saying is it might just be someone you meet and become very close with very quickly.
