Tally Marx
Living in Quebec at the moment. I'm fluent in French. It's fun to speak in French.
Maybe you and I can speak French together!! Je parle francaise, mais je ne parle pas bien. I am very bad with grammar, because I have no one to speak/write with. Would you mind if I sent you a PM so you could help me out?

MithLuin
I wonder which country has more well known saints France or Italy? Here are some of the ones. Joan of Arc Marguerite Marie Alacoque Bernard of Clairvaux Jean de Brébeuf John Vianney Jeanne Jugan Catherine Labouré Thérèse of Lisieux King Louis IX Louis de Montfort Francis de Sales Bernadette Soubirous Vincent de Paul
That's an amesome list, there! I didn't think of it earlier, but the French have Cluny, the beginning of the 10th century monastic reform, and Citeaux/Clairveaux, the beginning of the Cistercians as well. I have spent most of a day in the Paris airport, but never visited. I studied a little French in grade school, and can say important things like 'Ou est que c'est le WC?' I also love Cajun food and music.

MithLuin
I find it amusing that there are so many letters that aren't pronounced. It's, like, the second half of a third of the words! I find it easier to understand written French than spoken French. But then, I haven't studied it since eighth grade. Ma soeur parle le francais bien. Mon frere etudie le francais. Je ne parle pas le francais! Love Cajun food, though.....
