Catholics Burning In Hell

One would have to totally refject God to end up in hell, I doubt that many catholics would do that. As for the rest of your questions, who am I to judge the actions of others? If these things bother you perhaps you are being called to pray for these souls.

Remember that old bumper sticker " Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven "

The only way catholics ends up in hell is totally rejecting God ? Hmmm really ? What about the lukewarm God says He will spit out ? They obviouslly (sp) aren't totally rejecting God. Also how many catholics eat n drink the blood unworthilly (sp) ? Man I'm an awful awful awful awful catholic but I'm not dumb enough to do that one. It must be my fear of God. Thank you for that Lord. What a great gift. I'm a blessed man and loved by the Father very much. And you're right deffitenly need to pray for all souls mine included. Godbless !

I was talking about the word 'obdurate' with an English teacher last week. She mentioned that she really liked it, and I agreed, because it sounds like what it means (stubborn). I just picture a donkey planting its feet and refusing to be dragged forward when I hear it. Unlike words like 'pulchritude', which doesn't sound at all like something beautiful.

Yes, you go to hell when you reject God. But I don't think you have to shout it from the mountaintops and make it 'official'. It's a decision of the heart, and God, who sees our hearts, knows our decisions even if we don't recognize that we have made them.

I think...that it is good to remember that the seers at Fatima said that 'many, many souls' were being lost to hell. I'm not going to hazard a guess as to which ones (God only knows), but I don't think I'm going to say that most people are...safe from the threat of hell fire.

2/3 of Catholics don't go to mass. From an observers perspective, without any hard facts much less than 50% go to confession on a regular basis. In many parishes it is less than 10%. We can therefore assume a significant percentage that do go to mass are receiving unworthily. Conservatively I think 30%. God is the judge but the numbers at this moment in history are not good. Let's hope there is great ignorance in the Church.

... and while we are at it.

Ok ... how many have of us here have driven others away from the Church due to our lack of charity? Remember each of us will be held accountable according to our actions and lack there of.

I refuse to speculate on who is/isn't going to hell, because that is an answer only God knows.

Very very very good point. I'm guilty. I was trying to imitate some of the scare tactics that put the fear of God into me when I first started coming here years ago. I was a little out of control yesterday. Sorry. I just got the new tag and I'm feeling a little invisible. I need to chiil.
