Nihil Obstat
However, now that I've been thinking, the 'statistic' was probably 30% of Catholics in general. Of course, I *still* have yet to see the study or any officially cited sources, so again, it may well all be croutons. Still, valid questions. Papist
A celebrant likely couldn't have the intention of confecting the Sacrament validly if he did not believe in the Sacrament in the first place.
I see your point. However, if he didn't beleive, but he still wanted to happen what the Church proclaims to happen, would this not suffice for proper itention? I would tweak your statement slightly to, celebrant likely wouldn't have the intention of confecting the Sacrament validly if he did not believe in the Sacrament in the first place. Because, I beleive even though the priest most likely wouldn't have the intention, there's still a chance he could. Such as the Eucharistic miracle that happened in Lanciano. Edited January 25, 2011 by Papist

IgnatiusofLoyola
Thanks The only Mormon thread I've seen recently was over in Transmundane Lane, asking for how to dialogue with Mormons, but there could be one over in the Lame Board too. And I totally understand the idea of criticizing family but no one else can, and I respect it.
I vaguely remember a thread in some forum or another about Mormon ads with a pretty girl saying, "I'm Mormon and I'm happy" or something like that. You can tell I didn't pay much attention to it. I doubt I made it up the existence of the thread, since I've never seen one of these ads in person. But, it may have been a post, not a thread, or someone could have slipped hallucinogenic drugs into my tea.
Socrates
According to that poll, only half of Anglican clergy are Christian.

I know I've seen a few ads like that on there, or it could've been the LB and I missed it. I kinda doubt the tea, but you never know...

Sternhauser
There are some very attractive Mormon girls out there. A couple of them tried to convert me. They were hanging out outside of a grocery store parking lot at night and approached. They told me that they saw me and said to each other, "That looks like a nice person." Pffft. Appearances are so deceiving. But they knew their belief system pretty well, and they definitely believe strongly in what they believe. It's a shame it's Mormonism. ~Sternhauser Edited January 27, 2011 by Sternhauser
