She said it was a "terrific" article, most people do not go around calling their own writing terrific. And no Tobyana is not her real name, I do not know what it is but she admitted somewhere else that is not it.

What is really sad is she was not secure enough to rely on her own authority, she could not speak her mind and believe that her views would be given credence and respect ... she thought it was necessary to cite imaginary authority from an imaginary article.

I know nothing about all that "mysterious" drama you are talking about. But I do know about this and I have to say I am annoyed when people try to manipulate me.

And it is sad sad sad what this says about her self-esteem.

Of course you do not know about my personal "drama" (as you call it, honestly I don't see it in a such grave way, but surely still this thing remains really "mysterious"), since my comment has disappeared and no one can tell me how and why. (I know that Bennn didn't delete it). But I guess this does not interest you, seeing the way you speak of it.
About Triddy, again I don't see this thing as so terrific. I also agree that I didn't see persons being sarcastic with her (at the beginning). Maybe she wanted to show her article under a pseudonim for fears of being considered badly if people knew that it was written by her. I too, if I wanted to have an objective opinion, would like to hide to the readers that it is me who wrote, but this does not necessairly means I want to deceive or lie.
Anyway...have a good debate, I am not going to have a part in it.

I spent the day with my Dom Sisters at the Walk for Life, and it seems like tradition is coming back full force...LOTs of religious in their habits, LOTS of priests in their roman collars, black cassocks; mucho REVERENCE at the Holy Mass...

LARGE CATHOLIC FAMILIES...

TONS OF UT COLLEGE STUDENTS PRAYING BEFORE THE BLESSED SACRAMENT, WHERE THEY HAVE HIM IN A SEPERATE CHAPEL at their student center, OPENED ALL HOURS OF THE DAY FOR PRAYER...

peeps, in the 70's and 80's...all of these aspects of our Catholic identity were busy being destroyed bit by bit....and yet, here they are!!!!!!!

I can praise Jesus...I wonder if the little unborn babies have a hand in all this? Are they praying for the Church Militant? I can only think that their unspeakable massacre has turned them all into powerful intercessors before the throne of God in Heaven....

I squee internally every time I see a cassock. :) Right now in my city it's only the FSSP priests who wear them, but I'm just waiting for the influx of the young seminarians I keep hearing about. :proud:

:hehe: Me, too. I grew up with some really wonderful priests. Right now I am just glad to see my pastor always wears his Roman collar. He is a soldier, and they often wear their uniforms (our old pastor wore his, and when he was out of uniform he usually had his collar off), so to see him dressed as a priest, even if it's black shirt, slacks, and jacket paired with his collar it makes me glad that he's proudly wearing that symbol of our faith around post. :saint:

Here in the diocese of Charlotte we have young priests coming out on fire and all wearing cassocks. Our Eucharistic Congress is awesome!

Lets take a step back, guys. [The] original post did have some good points. I'd rather revisit those than harp about....[other stuff].
As someone mentioned on the first page, the emphasis on God as our ALL is important and awesome. I think that St. Thomas' prayer - 'My Lord and My God!' - is awesome. But even cooler than his...is St. Francis' 'My God and My All!' I like to combine them, though to be honest, it's easier to say the first one. To call God 'my Lord' demands obedience. But to call God 'my All' means...I have to recognize that I can't ask God for anything else at the expense of my relationship with Him. Not only does He come first...but his grace is sufficient for me. In all circumstances.

Sometimes...that's a harder prayer to voice than others. It's like Job's 'Blessed be the name of the Lord' - always true, but not always easy to say.
