CatherineM
I am allowed to bring, "A holy book, of your choice, if you wish to use one to swear the Oath of Citizenship," tomorrow. So here's what I have to choose from: The NAB my Godmother gave me as a Confirmation present. My very devout Baptist grandmother's KJV. The RSV I use for school (it's the smallest by far) I could also I suppose take the Catechism, or a Canon Law book, or my father's prayer book, but I'm leaning towards a bible for obvious reasons, although a canon law book would be unique. I think I also want to have a rosary in my hand as well, and can't decide which one.
homeschoolmom
I vote for the Confirmation bible. (If your RSV is like mine, your hand will barely fit.)

tnavarro61
I go for the RSV! It would be very special, especially that it seems you carry the RSV everyday.
Papist
RSV or NAB will be sufficient.
CatherineM
I suppose I could pick up 6-7 different translations and stack them up on a chair to take the oath. You know, just to hedge my bets.
Brother Adam
lol, the NAB
Sternhauser
Just swear on Matthew 5:33-37. No need to swear on the whole Bible. ~Sternhauser
BG45
I'd go for the NAB myself. With the KJV second, because of its family value.

tnavarro61
RSV!!! ooh wait, I have "cast my vote" already haha. I'm a lil biased too. I own RSV-CE and I love it. I bring it always with me and that ceremony (if ever I would undergo that) would add extra meaning on it .
dUSt
You should take a Harry Potter book.

CatherineM
I have picked the NAB. My Godmother was also an immigrant, so it seemed apt. I did take the duct tape off it.
