Girls Scouts & Planned Parenthood?

Does anyone know, with absolute certainty that the Girl Scouts have become a completely God less organization and supports Planned Parenthood?

I'm finding bits and pieces where they take Brownies on field trips to PP? Is this true?

If anyone knows or has info, please let me know asap.

Thanks!

I know the Camp Fire Girls have gone that direction. Of course I figured that would happen as soon as they started letting boys in. A lot depends on who is running the troop. We have a Girl Guide group at our parish, that is run by a very orthodox woman, and they are NOT touring PP. They did the March for Life instead.

When I was a daisy scout (in kindergarten 13 years ago), we had a Mother-Daughter Tea Party sponsored by Planned Parenthood. I told my mom that I wanted to quit, and she wanted me to also. Since then, I wouldn't be surprised if they go on field trips there.

That is astounding.

Every Catholic school from coast to coast is involved with an organization, basically letting the devil in, that dismisses God, allows badges for other beliefs (Wiccans? Really?).

Meanwhile, I think it is called the American Heritage Girls can only be found at Protestant schools.

I am baffled. Absolutely baffled how our Bishops, Priests, etc. allow this organization to prey on our children.

There was a thread about just this same question not very long ago, I think back in december. I had read it and remembered seeing a piece on the news maybe 10 years ago stating the same thing, I googled Girl Scouts of America and Planned Parenthood and there were countless pages of articles and links. I posted one link from the GSA that basically said as an organization aimed at the proper forming of young girls into women, we are proud of our affiliation with Planned Parenthood as we wantto guide the youth into proper roles as adults and PP's guidance on avoiding pregancies and choices for unwanted pregnancies and female health issues is within our guidelines for maturing young ladies.

Its easy to find so many links that it will blind you, just type in your search engine Girl Scouts of America and Planned Parenthood.

I was in Girl Scouts of America, unassociated with Catholic schools, so I can't speak for that. I've been to 3 other Catholic schools throughout my life and I can't remember any "organizations" being allowed at all. Our regular uniforms had to be worn at all times.
I guess it's possible for stuff like this to be going on in less strict Catholic schools... can you please send me links to information regarding highly secular or pro-choice formal influences in parochial schools?

Not all local groups have anything to do with PP. I know the one in our community does not - I have asked them about it before and they were horrified at the idea that girls scouts would be in any way affiliated with PP.

Yeah, I think on a national level there might be some sort of "official" connection to PP, on on an individual troop level (from my brief experiences) it is almost non-existent (that is, you read that it happens online, but I have never met a single girl scout family/troop that has had ties with PP).

Our Catholic Women's Leage in Canada has a junior girl group that is a bit like girl guides. There are also some girl groups associated with the VFW in the US, but can't think of the name right now.
