Jesus_lol
I was poking about on this website, comparing canada to other countrries and other countries to other countries. pretty interesting stuff, most of the answers are taken froma fairly basic set of questions, and sources are provided. only thing i have issue with is how they obtained average income, dividing the GDP by the population. whereas the median household income would be a better number, and more realistic. some of the comments below signifiy the results change significantly here is the link to canada vs USA. http://www.ifitweremyhome.com/compare/US/CA click the individual "facts" for more info and a link to sources comparing Canada to Australia, aussies look like they have it pretty well! http://www.ifitweremyhome.com/compare/CA/AU of course they are underwater now, so what do they know take a look around, interesting stuff. AudreyGrace
All I know is that I love the way Canadians spell "favourite" "colour" etc... and sometimes say "pardon?" instead of "what?"

[/quote] Dude! i know!! i had to teach an american friend recently about the goodness of canadian smarties! :S and to those who say "who cares?" when is knowledge ever a bad thing? it would do some good for people to learn more bits about other countries, etc, aside from just anecdotes their friends brought back from a "lifechanging" week in a mexican resort. "dude, mexico was super hot!" "noted, now i know a total of 3 things about mexico" "did i mention it was really hot? and it has beaches?" "ok, 4 things"

Parkade sounds way more adventurous then "parking garage." Siena
Canadians may be unaware of another, actually older, definition of parkade as it is used in New Orleans. There, it refers to a Mardi Gras parade that has suffered a breakdown and ground to a halt.

Siena
I hate to betray my adopted homeland, but M&Ms taste better than smarties...I've converted many Canadian friends to M&Ms as the correct form of candy-coated chocolate. I'm normally very live-and-let-live, but there's just no contest here.
