CatherineM
Until I become a Canadian Citizen. Already have the bubbly on ice. The most important reason that I applied is so that I don't have to constantly worry about being separated from my husband. My mother in law has been trying desperately to get me deported for the last 5 years, so now she will no longer be able to unless she can prove I committed crimes against humanity before entering Canada. CatherineM
It's not a joke. She convinced her Member of Parliament that I was a terrorist, and he arranged for Immigration Canada to delay my application for Permanent Residency about 8 months so that CSIS (Canadian CIA/FBI) could investigate. It took our Member of Parliament getting in their faces to un-stick my application. She convinced my SIL in Chicago that my husband was beating me, so she called our pastor and scared him into postponing our marriage 2 days before it was scheduled, and it took us 6 months to convince him that he'd been lied to. Ed Normile
Another thing, now that you are going to be a Candian you can no longer toast things with " Bubbly " like a sissie New Yorker ! You have to toast with beer, or get hardcore with some C.C.. Also you need to get in your bikini, if you do not have one you need to get one they are mandatory for canooks, especially if you are older with a weight problem and cellulite, anyhow, get in your bikini and your hubby will don his speedo, grab the chainsaw and cut a hole in the ice in the nearest lake and take a swim, then my dear you will have truly gained the respect of your mother-in-law, its worth it, eh? ed

Papist
Congratulations! Especially about being with your husband. That’s great. Let’s just hope their hate speech police are not aware of the PM forum.
CatherineM
If my husband was seen in public in a speedo, they'd take away his Order of Canada.
