You can pray for me, I'm a pro-life democrat.

A pro-life democrat? I'm afraid I don't quite believe you.

I'm a pro-life democrat too, except I only vote for those that agree with catholic principles :)

here's a good article from Ross Douthat:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/10/opinion/10douthat.html?_r=1&adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1294646440-Ex7LHe3ZVFIPfIi949y1Qw

good snippet:
But if overheated rhetoric and martial imagery really led inexorably to murder, then both parties would belong in the dock. (It took conservative bloggers about five minutes to come up with Democratic campaign materials that employed targets and crosshairs against Republican politicians.) When our politicians and media loudmouths act like geniuses and zealots, they should be held responsible for being geniuses and zealots. They shouldn’t be held responsible for the darkness that always waits to swallow up the unstable and the lost.

Why?

Would it make her in any less critically-injured?
Because whenever there is a front page type story involving someone doing something horrific who is suspected of having a mental illness, my husband is asked to comment. He's a mental health advocate. No it doesn't make her any less injured if done by a person with a mental illness anymore than it makes the other people less dead. I think it might give us comfort thinking that someone is ill rather than just evil. We don't like to think that ordinary people can do horrific things. At least I don't.

You have problems.

If you are really so rabidly partisan that you never before thought that you'd pray for a democrat then that suggests that you have such a tilted view of reality that your opinions are probably too ill-informed and ill-conceived to be taken seriously. Your bigger problem is that you seem to be a lackluster Christian.

And I am another one. Should take your head out of the hole Fox News has probably put it into, the world is not so black and white as you think.

But isn't the knee jerk reaction to blame Fox News when someone acts like a jackhole part of that black and white world?

But just for the record, Fox News is ALL about flash, and they get a LOT of viewers and money because of it. If "Desperate Housewives" could be seen as a prime-time soap opera, then "Fox News" could be seen as a prime-time tabloid.

slammed.
a healthy dose of telling it like it is, though, which surely isn't a bad thing.

also 'prolife democrat' shouldn't be a nonsequiter except to the worst cookie cutter conservatives, and those who fit the description of hasan above

Thisis a sad terrible tragedy. All these pro-life democrats here makes me think they must have not been able to vote for a president in their lifetimes. Although this last election did see a lot of catholics vote for a radical pro-death candidate, mainly because John McCain was such an old guy, never mind that his only good point, in my opinion, was that he consistently voted pro-life his entire career, as did his running mate.

I notice the media has not brought up anything about this mentally ill person being a radical liberal democrat, seems that would be the story as the judge he killed was a conservative republican judge appointed by George Bush, I have heard several news outlets (toilets) stating he was a radical conservative though, as he wounded a liberal democrat, a few even brought up limiting free speach of conservative news outlets and radio show hosts as they enflame this type of attitude. Thats the left, never let a good tragedy pass without politicising it.
