Micah
Brown (not sure if it's wood or not, too much gloss) and metal. The medal in the centre is the sacred heart of Jesus on one side, and Jesus, Mary, and Joseph on the other.
Ed Normile
The rosary I bought in an Irish shop 39 years ago when I was 11 years old when I was going to my cousin Davids funeral its made of conamara marble beads the center piece is Mary on the reverse Jesus, to Jesus through Mary. I seen it and had to buy it, it was 18 dollars way back then , I thought I had enough but it turned out I was down to 8 bucks and some change, I was disappointed and the old Irishman shop keeper seen it on my face and asked what I had and then said " You are going to use that? well you are lucky, it just went on sale" The chaplet beads are actually a relic os St Therese the Little Flower, a Dominican made them for me and touched them to an actual section of her fingerbone he wore around his neck in a little gold display thing and did the ritual blessing. The pictures are standard catholic fare, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Blessed Virgin Mary, the Fatima, I beleive, and Jesus being nailed to the cross. That was harder than I thought, getting a good picture of a rosary is tough, I think this was the best I could muster this evening. Oh yeah, the little medal on the center piece is a Our lady of Medjugore medal. Micah
That's awesome Ed, thanks for taking the time to get the picture, and that's a seriously beautiful rosary, especially the crucifix. God bless the Irish shopkeeper.
Holly, Thanks for the offer. I don't have a rosary, but I pray the rosary. To me it's the mysteries & the pattern of prayers rather than the beads. And I can count to ten on my fingers.

A religious sister gave each one of us in class a rosary from the Vatican. She said it was blessed by Pope John Paul II. This Rosary has been with me in my joys and sorrows, in my journey back to the Lord and in my discernment to religious life.
But... but.... wouldn't you like a pretty beady one blessed by a priest? I thought about taking a pic of my hand since I often pray with just my fingers if I don't have a Rosary with me. And I really do like corded Rosaries (knotted with twine), which I make, as they feel so natural and simple.
IcePrincessKRS
This is the picture I was looking for when I posted before. I used to have it as my avatar back when I was actually pregnant. ETA: My mother in law made that rosary for me as a wedding gift; she made one for Matt exactly like it in black.
