rhetoricfemme
It's extremely exciting for me to say that my husband will be on his way home to us very soon! Please pray for him and his fellow servicemen/women to have a safe return from overseas, and for the safe travel/stay of those going in their stead. My son and I will be making the 9 hour journey back to our home in the next day or two. We've cannot put off our travel plans, and are expecting to be driving through some snowy and/or icy weather. Please pray that we would have a safe and uneventful journey, and for everyone out driving to take precautions for themselves and others. And the extended family issues. It's recently become known that one of my sisters in law has some careless habits with her 2.5 year old son; one being that she apparently lets him ride in his carseat without wearing the shoulder straps to his seatbelt. The other habit would be that she is possibly giving him Nyquil (unclear if it's the childrens version or not) when he doesn't necessarily need it. My mother-in-law is addressing her about these issues in order to get clear answers as to what SIL is actually doing. Please pray that these situations will be soon resolved, that there would be no other issues that remain hidden, and for the overall safety of their family. I really don't think SIL has any malicious intents here, but realize that she was raised in a world of adults, has basically never had children around her until she had her own, and I don't believe she realizes the repercussions of her actions until she is told otherwise. She is usually very defensive about things, but thankfully our MIL has a way of getting through to her that not many others can. Another SIL of mine is getting ready to move into a new home assisted living home after the home she shared with four other women burned down in November. This one is a temporary home while a brand new house is being built for them by some very generous folks in the community. Please pray that this project would go well, that their new house will be safe and have a better layout for the variety of disabilities these women are living with, and please pray for a happy and smooth transition for everyone involved. Please pray for my oldest sister, Lynn, who continues to fight off seizures every day of her life. Please help for her body to allow her to rest, for her to not be afraid during these episodes, but for her to feel God's hand on her shoulder, and for my mother to know that she is doing everything she can, and that her love and faith in God will always be good enough. It's a hard life they have, there will never be any regrets from my mother to have devoted every ounce of herself to being my sister's rock and caretaker. Finally, if you could please pray for my other sister, who is in the last few weeks of her pregnancy. Please pray for her to have a safe and easy delivery, and for her and Baby Thomas to remain in good health after the birth.
