Brother Adam
Ill go first - The Peanut Butter Solution. Most of us who remember this bizarre movie are told we are liars and that it never actually existed. For some reason it is impossible to find now and disappeared as fast as it appeared. Maybe because they realize that the film makers were probably high when they conjured it up. Still, it would be awesome to get this on DVD so we could relive the good ol days. It's actually much closer to the books however than the first movie.
Papist
There are 2 that really stick out. The Collector(1965) and Magic(1978) Edited January 7, 2011 by Papist

I would like to suggest: Sorceress, about a 13th century Dominican friar who arrives in a french village in search of heretics and gets the surprise of his life. and The Return of Martin Guerre Based on the true story of a man who returns home to his wife after several years in the army. But is it really him? or is it an impostor? Did his wife know whether or not it really was him or an impostor? People have been debating that last question for a couple hundred years now! I had a ventriloquist dummy in my room. I was sooooo scared. (One of the reasons I won't let my kids have tv's in their rooms-- all the croutons I watched that my parents didn't know about).... I remember being about 13 and watching The Exorcist on tv with my mom... I have NO idea why she let me watch that. When I was really little-- like four or five... I saw parts of The Poseidon Adventure on tv. And it sorta haunted me for years. I couldn't quite remember if I'd watched or if I'd dreamed it. It wasn't until I was a little order-- maybe ten-- that I could articulate this to my mom. I asked her about a movie with a ship that sinks... where they climb up the Christmas tree to escape... She didn't recognize it. She asked if I was thinking of the ship Titanic. No... <sigh> I knew I had not made it up. A few years after that, when we got our first VCR, one of the first movies we rented was The Poseidon Adventure-- and there were so many scenes that I remembered. It was really weird. Shelly Winters drowning... Guy falling to his death.... It was weird-- like watching a dream I'd had a kid.

CatherineM
Americathon is great. John Ritter plays President Chet Roosevelt. The US is bankrupt and has run out of oil. Everyone bikes or rollerskates to work, and lives in their cars. NIKE is getting ready to foreclose so they have a nationwide telethon. It's not on DVD. Neither is Once an Eagle. It's based on a book that is so well respected that it is on the Marine Corps Commandant's required reading list for officers. It's also not on DVD. I suspect both are just a bit too close to the bone. Once an Eagle shows the military as it really is, the good and bad, but does come off rather anti-war. Luigi
I saw a black & white sci-fi movie from the 1950s (I guess) on television when I was really little. Aliens had invaded Earth, and they would stick their fingers into the back of the necks of ordinary people, injecting secret space juice (I guess) into them, and then they'd collapse and get carried into this tunnel - I don't know what happened after that, but it was ominous. The worst part was the story was told from the point of view of a typical family - a Dad, a Mom, and Little Joey (I guess). Little Joey figured out what was going on... just before his Mom and Dad stuck their fingers into the back of his neck, injected the secret space juice, caught him as he collapsed, and his dad carried him into the tunnel! I had a morbid fascination with my parents' fingers after that, trying to figure out if they could be filled with secret space juice. I've tried to look it up on IMDB, but I can't find it - no clue who the actors were, or the director, or the title. It might have been a cheap imitation of "Invasion of the Bady Snatchers," and that was a B-movie itself.
