Lilllabettt
It is on Tuesday. 8-10 hrs. Tomorrow is the worst part though; I have to be admitted for pre-op stuff ... which is horrible, horrible horrible. Lasts from morning to evening, tedious as all hell, and they are going to want to "take a look" which means putting things in where they should only go out. And I will be cold and hungry and desperately trying to shield my naked arse from view all tiresome day long. Please pray for me that it will not be so horrible. There is no humility without humiliation, but I could do with some more of the first and less of the second.

Luigi
Oh, kid! I can only imagine! I've had just enough of the rude probing to know how much worse it could be, and it sounds like you've been there, done that, got the T-shirt, but still have to go back. My recommendation? Pray the 'interrupted rosary' - start as usual, proceed as usual, but stop when they want to talk-ask-probe-etc.; when they go back to leaving you alone, just pick up where you left off. Mary won't mind. If you're lucky, praying the rosary will put you to sleep during the boring-as-hell parts of the day. My mother used to pray the rosary to get to sleep at night - it was the only way she could "turn it over to God,"and she considered the sleep to be a blessing directly from The Holy Mother who understood mothers and their troubles. And Mary is a mdoel of humility, so she must have experienced some humiliation - like maybe with a midwife, in a stable, on a cold night, with animals around, and a husband who was probably no help at all in that situation - but she served God with her whole body, not just her heart and her mind. Best of luck with it.

PaladinSoG
I feel your pain! A few years ago I had two metal rods shoved through my rib cage to pop my sternum out due to a birth defect. I was in the hospital for almost a week! Of course I then find out half of each lung is deteriorated so now there seeping air and they had to figure a way to relieve the pressure in my chest...which meant more cutting. I completely know how ya feel. I wish you the best of luck and I will keep you in my prayers! God Bless!
CatherineM
I have had so many less than memorable hospital stays that I have trouble going into one even to visit friends. I find closing my eyes helps. If I can't see the faces of the people messing with my parts, somehow it makes it easier.
