But if they consider you an ally, they transform into muscle bound types.

Apparently.
No, I think that's if they consider you an enemy. As long as you are docile they eat doughnuts and remain inconspicuous.

Sadly most of my ignorance is already gone.
Yeah, it's a beautiful thing to be 19 years old and have it pretty much all entirely figured out, and know just about all there is to know about just about everything.

Anarchy, dude!

Yeah, I have yet to see even one of these steroid-muscle-bound cops. I've lived in 6 different states in the last 8 years and most of what I've seen are the jelly doughnut variety, with the exception of MPs and I still wouldn't call most of them muscle-bound.
Name the States. You'll mostly find the donut-eating variety south of New Jersey, West of Philadelphia and north of Florida. But even then, for some reason, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Kansas and Louisiana aren't places you'll find too many of the crew-cut/shaved head steroid-using cops. You will find them in metropolitan areas.

Boston is one place you'll definitely find them. 11 Boston Cops "Disciplined" [Not fired!] in Steroid Scandal You'll also find them in Miami. And in New Jersey. And in New York City New York City Part II And in Broward County/Palm Beach Florida. But you will find a few of them all over. All over.

Note well: these are not isolated cases of one or two officers. These are often large segments of entire departments. All covering up for each other. Just a few bad apples who happen to be in the same place at once, as usual. Hundreds of police officers in New Jersey. Hundreds. But maybe if the police investigate themselves, they'll discover more criminal cops. One problem with that: cops don't like to investigate themselves, for some reason. And when they do, you'll see some variation of these words in the news: "Officer Everyman was put on paid administrative leave pending the investigation which will invariably find that no breach of policy or wrongdoing was discovered on the part of any State actor." Only when the public uproar would be long-lasting do they think about throwing one of their own under the bus.

hmmm, 20 sir. And its funny how I don't even come back for more than a week and you make a sarcastic comment already to me.

I never claimed that entirety, I said almost. If I cannot make simple statements without you blowing up an allusion then I feel sorry for you. I am sorry that you have to pick on some college kid that you barely know. I'm not trying to whine here, I just want some maturity.

Otherwise, I am done here.

Age is not required to understand particular facets of reality and embrace them with one's whole heart. If it were, Dominic Savio and Maria Goretti wouldn't be saints.

Ignorance is fun isn't it? :|
not as much fun as stereotyping, right?

we have the jelly-donut with sprinkles variety down here in Texas. One of our cops dropped dead after fussing with a 16 year old suspect. If a cop loses steam (and apparently has a heart attack) dealing with a 16 year old girl, I wonder what would happen to these jelly belly cops when they have to tussle with a lot bigger, stronger adversary???

My apologies - that was my mistake.

You're a wise old fluffy air extraction of 20, rather than the youthful naif of 19 I mistook you for.

I'll have to take it all back.

Read what I said - "pretty much all entirely figured out, and know just about all there is to know about just about everything."

Note my use of the qualifiers "pretty much" and "just about" - implying that are in fact some things you are in ignorance of; though no doubt they are very insignificant and few in number.

Anyways, it's an honor to get to meet a man who has almost no ignorance.

I on the other hand, am just an old fool who remains ignorant of many things.

The beginning of wisdom is knowing how little we actually know.

A statement that one has almost no ignorance can however be excused on account of youthful naivety.
Most 19-20 year olds think they have it all figured out. Experience teaches us otherwise later in life.

And, if anarchism is true, Louis IX of France and Olaf of Norway wouldn't be saints.

Cops: deadly muscle-bound terrorist oppressors, or ineffective jelly-bellied wimps?

hmm...I can't seem to have seen any of the in-between....hahaha

I've only known the super strength men of steel or the fat, bulging belly-over-the-belt-buckle type....

...oh! and the extremely skinny effeminate ones that remind me of Barney Fife.....

I think what really matters is their intention. And it's either they are misguided or indifferent, which I think matches the superficial impression of the either pseudo-alpha male cops who take their job too seriously or the flabby, glorified mall cops that have never taken their job seriously enough.

The beginning of wisdom is knowing how little we actually know.
"Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Proverbs 19:10. Fear of the Lord includes humility, which entails seeing things the way they really are. Penciled said that his former naivete in the context of State violence (not the entire workings of the universe) had been lifted. If someone thought himself righteous, and, the veil of this ignorance was lifted from his eyes, he saw how much of a sinner he was, saying, "I've lost almost all the ignorance of my sinfulness," would you take such delight in lambasting him? Or would you not give a more charitable interpretation of his words and say, "I realize this person is not saying he sees himself as God sees him, but is saying that he has come to a realization that he is very sinful?"
A statement that one has almost no ignorance can however be excused on account of youthful naivety.
That is your characteristically terrible and borderline-uncharitable interpretation of what another person has actually said.
That young man is not "most 20-year-olds."

You seem to have an inaccurate understanding of the ramifications of canonization.
